The Development projects foundation ‘CIRCLE’ has been awarded the opportunity to implement the project “Eco-Innovators of the Lim Region for Green Transformation (ZeLim)”, funded by the Innovation Fund of Montenegro under the Public Call for the Promotion of Innovation Culture, launched earlier this year.
In this regard, the funding agreement was officially signed yesterday at the premises of the Innovation Fund, while the planned project activities are scheduled to commence on 1 September.
The ZeLim project is a practical educational programme designed for high school students from the municipalities of Andrijevica and Plav. It includes a series of creative Makers Workshops, during which participants, supported by experienced mentors, will transform their ideas into tangible innovations. Using modern technologies and recycled materials, students will develop smart eco-prototypes, such as solutions for monitoring the cleanliness of the Lim River, intelligent recycling systems, and similar environmentally focused innovations.
The project’s flagship activity will be the “ZeLim Pitch” Competition, where participants will present their prototypes to an expert jury. At the conclusion of the event, the jury will select and reward the most innovative and creative solutions.
Over the course of four months, a selected group of high school students will have a unique opportunity to explore the potential of emerging technologies and develop ideas that contribute not only to their personal growth, but also to the sustainable development of their local communities. This project marks only the beginning of the initiatives that the Development projects foundation ‘CIRCLE’ intends to pursue in strengthening youth economic empowerment through the implementation of innovative projects. We are therefore particularly pleased to establish cooperation with the Innovation Fund of Montenegro, because, as their motto says, “…Ideas Pay Off!..”
